A second pool also includes a children's area and a swim-up bar. Hidden away for adult seclusion, a third pool produces waves at the push of a button for resistance lap swimming. The pristine beach offers expansive jogging and walking space, but the Pacific is not safe for swimming here due to strong undercurrents.

Insider tip: Next to the adult wave pool, a large barbecue grill and food preparation area provides guests an opportunity to grill outdoors.

Appropriate to its isolated, peninsula-tip locale, the 194-suite resort features utterly casual relaxation, with massage and exercise available in a fitness center. Solmar Suites guests also enjoy access to the pools, restaurants, and other facilities at a neighboring sister resort, Playa Grande. The resort purifies its water.
